Artur Leg

Bio

It all started in the summer of 1977, young Artur Leg introduced a coin in a Juke Boxes to listen to some music and then could not stop listening. He got exposed to such things as Trans Europe ExpressKraftwerk ! In the mid-80s, he played with success in private parties, enjoying mostly funk and R’N’B. He then discovered the "House Nation". Shortly after he joined a radio station (Voltage FM 1984-1991) where he produced and hosted a show. He met in such premise the one to become his alter-ego: Philipp Thorn.


In 1991, Artur Leg joined the French national network Skyrock with the desire to bring something bigger to the audience. He hosted few shows during the day and in 1994 he hosted an evening show, a program of dance music, called the "Max Party show", with Philip Thorn. They presented the French listeners with bands like The Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling on, Zhané - Hey, Mister DJ and a lot of House Nation sounds. The same year, Artur Leg remixed Axel F- Arold Feltmeyer (Music from the film'' Beverly Hills Cop'') the disk came out on the compilation "Dj Top Gold" on Sony Music France label.

In 1996, Artur Leg participated on the launch of the "Skyrave", the first event of electronic music in France, with the biggest DJs of the French electro scene and abroad (more than 400 artists in total, including David Guetta, Carl Cox and Martin Solveig, etc ...).


Artur Leg produced also some remixes of famous artist such as Daft Punk and Madonna! From his home studio, the "FrenchLab", he worked in parallel for various record labels on many compilations, the first "Top Dj vol 1" beng one of them for which he received a platinum record. Followed by an offical Jimmy Clif's Megamix (400,000 copies sold), etc...


After 20 years in the medias to play House music, after deploying his sets "Sexy and voluptuous" on the dance floors around the world, Artur Leg decided with his childhood friend Philip Thorn to create an innovative concept for Palace, cocktail and private parties.
